This privacy policy applies to the WOD X mobile application together with any related services operated by Laos Apps (collectively, the "Application" or "Service Provider").
1. Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. For a better experience while using our Service, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your email address (for account creation, Google sign-in, cloud sync, and subscription management).
Automatically collected information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Your mobile operating system and version
- The pages or screens of the Application that you visit
- The date, time, and duration spent on the Application or specific features
2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, pixels, Software Development Kits (SDKs), and similar tracking technologies to support app functionality, analytics, and service delivery. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain your consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
3. Your Rights & California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have specific rights regarding your personal data:
- Access and Correction: You may request access to or correction of your personal data held by the Service Provider.
- Deletion: You may request the deletion of your personal data at any time.
- California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): If you reside in California, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact the Service Provider at [email protected].
4. Third-Party Services & Access
The Application utilizes trusted third-party service providers that have their own Privacy Policies regarding how they handle data. The links below provide more information:
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to assist the Service Provider in improving the Application. The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
- When believed in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud;
- With trusted service providers who work on our behalf, adhere to this privacy statement, and do not have independent use of the data.
5. International Data Transfers
The Service Provider or its third-party service providers may transfer personal data to countries outside your residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider implements appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission;
- Adequacy decisions or recognized transfer mechanisms;
- Your explicit consent, where legally permitted.
6. Opt-Out Rights & Data Deletion
You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application from your mobile device. Uninstalling stops further data collection, but does not automatically erase data previously transmitted.
You can also delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the Application at any time using the dedicated deletion button created for that purpose in your app settings.
Alternatively, to request permanent deletion of your user account, workout history, PRs, or personal data submitted through the Application, contact the Service Provider directly at [email protected].
7. Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider retains personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the stated purposes:
- User Provided Data: Retained for the duration of your active account plus 12 months thereafter, unless longer retention is required by law;
- Automatically Collected Data: Retained for up to 24 months from collection;
- Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely as it no longer identifies an individual.
8. Children's Privacy
The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age (or such higher age required by law). The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we discover that a child under 16 has provided personal data, it will be immediately removed from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
9. Security & Data Breach Notification
The Service Provider prioritizes safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. In the event of a security breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
